Are you an experienced CDL A Instructor looking to take your career to the next level? 160 Driving Academy is searching for a Lead CDL A Instructor to guide and mentor new instructors while continuing to train the next generation of truck drivers. As a Lead Instructor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our students receive top-notch training, and our instructors have the support they need to succeed.

Lead CDL A Instructor Requirements:

• A valid CDL Class A license with at least 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Experience as a CDL A Instructor (leadership experience preferred)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol tests
• Basic computer skills for managing schedules and reports
• Available for 40 hours per week
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills

Lead CDL A Instructor Responsibilities:

• Mentor and support CDL A Instructors to ensure they deliver effective training
• Oversee the Pre-Trip, Yard Skills, and Road Driving instruction to students
• Provide feedback and additional support to instructors and students as needed
• Emphasize safety and professional driving principles throughout all training
• Monitor student progress and ensure readiness for the CDL exam
